Arizer Solo VS the Vapir NO2 and Magic-Flight Launch Box
The Arizer Solo has managed to impress many vaporists worldwide in a short period of time. But how does it compare to other portable vaporizers? In this article we compare the Solo with two other popular portable battery-powered vaporizers.
Arizer Solo VS Vapir NO2

The Vapir NO2 was released mid-2010 and was received with mixed feelings by the vapor community. The NO2 was revolutionary in the fact that it was the first handheld vaporizer with a built-in rechargeable battery. However, some users complained of the taste of burnt plastic after turning it on. We experienced this problem too, although it seemed to fade after leaving it on for some hours. According to the manufacturer this problem occurred only with a small number of units, and they claimed to replace these defective units under warranty.
Size
Arizer Solo wins. While the Solo is not the smallest vaporizer in the industry, it is more compact than the NO2 and therefore easier to carry around in your pocket. The NO2 is just too bulky to fit in your pants or shirt pocket. In addition, the NO2's conical shape doesn't exactly make it look like a badass gadget - if you know what I mean.
Heat up time
Vapir NO2 wins. The NO2 heats up a little bit faster than the Solo and reaches a temperature of 400F in about 2 minutes. The Arizer Solo requires an additional extra 40 seconds to heat up to its maximum temperature of 410F. Not a huge difference, but the NO2 wins here.
Vapor Taste and Quality
Arizer Solo wins. The glass stem and high quality materials allow for a great taste. The Solo is capable of producing big clouds of vapor and is an obvious winner on this terrain.
Conclusion
While the Vapir NO2 is a decent vaporizer, the Arizer Solo provides more quality, portability and thicker vapor for your money.
Arizer Solo VS Magic-Flight Launch Box

The Magic-Flight Launch Box (MFLB) is praised for its portability and excellent functioning. Although widely regarded as the most stealthy vaporizer available today, it's not always size that matters.
Size
MFLB wins. The Magic-Flight Launch Box is so small and portable that only flame-fuelled vaporizers come close in terms of size. Of course we shouldn't forget that the MFLB's power source, an AA battery, needs to be replaced after about 5 minutes of vaporizing, whereas the built-in battery of the Arizer Solo will keep you vaping for 2-3 hours.
Heat up time
MFLB wins. With a heat-up time of seconds, the MFLB is hard to beat on this one. Simply pushing the battery causes the temperature inside the box to rise, reaching the perfect vaporization temperature in less than 5 seconds. Users of the Solo will have to be more patient and wait at least 2 minutes before sufficient heat is generated.
Vapor Taste and Quality
Arizer Solo wins. The Solo is capable of producing enormous clouds of vapor, and this is where the weak spot of the MFLB becomes apparent. While the taste of the (smaller) hits of vapour produced by the MFLB is just fine, the large hits and use of glass on the Solo are hard to surpass.
Conclusion
The Magic-Flight Launch Box is arguably the most stealthy portable electric vaporizer, and if going unnoticed while vaporizing is your main concern, then this is the right choice for you. However, if you intend on using your vape in less public places and thick vapor is what you're after, then the Arizer Solo will suit your needs perfectly.
