Vaporfection to release new vaporizer

The market for vaporizers has seen quite a few newcomers in 2011. Earlier this year the Canadian Arizer company released the battery-powered Solo and shortly after that it was Oglesby & Butler who came out with a new butane-powered vape, the WISPR. While these are all portables, Vaporfection has now announced the release of a high-end electric vaporizer, the viVape.

Judging by the looks and name, Apple has inspired the makers in more than one way. The aesthetics of this vaporizer are extremely sleek and shiny.

viVape features:

- Both direct (whip) draw and balloon capabilities
- Touch screen control panel
- Auto shut-off and cool-down
- 110 and 240V compatible
- List price: $449

While some of those features sound really nifty and cool, it would've been nice to find some information on the vital functions - i.e. the temperature range at which it operates and the used materials. It seems we're going to have to wait until after the official release date, which according to the manufacturer is set at October 16. Vapeworld is currently taking pre-orders on the viVape.

This also means that any viVape 'reviews' you can find online now are very likely to be bogus reviews. At Vaporizer-info we don't review vaporizers unless we've actually (thoroughly) tested them.

In any case, with all these new vapes coming out, 2011 has been a good year so far for the vaporizer community!
