Magic-Flight Launch Box
The Launch Box is a portable vaporizer that works on a single AA battery. Heat is generated through infrared (IR) and conduction. It is the smallest vape in the industry. One battery lasts about 10-15 hits, but extra batteries and a charger are included. Heats up in less than 15 seconds!
Since its introduction in 2008, several small improvements have been made.
July 2011: Click-Lock lid. Prevents the lid from opening when it is not in use
May 2011: Black tin with imprinted MFLB logo (the previous tin was silver and had a sticker on it)
January 2011: addition of rubber push back ring (helps prevent battery from draining and herb from combusting)
2010: The edges of the box are now rounded
In 2011, the manufacturer released a beta version of a desktop power adapter for the Magic-Flight Launch Box. However, it is not commercially available yet.

Vaporizer reviews
Magic Flight Launch Box review
By dash421 on 03-03-2011The unveiling of the Magic-Flight Launch Box was very exciting. I had been reviewing this product thoroughly the past week and finally decided to give it a whirl.
Opening it was almost overwhelming but I soon realized that there is NO set up. Place the two high capacity batteries in the charger when you get it, because they'll be drained more than likely. I let the batteries stay on the charger while I caught up on my sleep.
Awoke to fresh batteries, sprinkled some herb in the box, took the charger off the wall socket, and placed one battery directly into the side of the vaporizer, and twisted it just a bit... Saw an orange glow behind the herb, and within 5 seconds the whole top of the glass was cloudy.
Inhaled the magnificence of the Magic Flight Launch Box, and was quite impressed.
My only con, is that the bowl size fits maybe a quarter-gram of herb... Other than that, I'm LOVING this device.
Definitely a good purchase for those who are trying to mask herbal smells, and smoke discreetly.
Vaporizer Review: Magic Flight Launch Box
By Vaporizer Info on 23-03-2011My initial thought when seeing the Magic Flight Launch Box (MFLB) was, ‘Wow, this thing is tiny!’ It is hard to imagine that a piece of wood that is no bigger than the size of a box of matchsticks is able of releasing thick hits of vapor within seconds. This is a vaporizer that must be seen to impress. We’ve seen nothing but rave reviews, so we decided to test it out and see what the hype is all about.
The MFLB is available in two versions: with or without charger. Both versions come with two rechargeable batteries, an aluminum tin, a carrying pouch, a brush and a mouth piece.
Unlike other currently available handheld vaporizers such as the iolite (butane) and Vapir NO2 (built-in battery) the Magic Flight uses a single AA NiMh battery as power source. The battery can be inserted at the side of the vaporizer, and when pressed firmly its power will be converted into heat. A combination of infrared and conduction heating are applied to maintain a temperature around 380 Fahrenheit (183 and 202 degree Celsius). However, the temperature can be influenced by the draw rate.
Before one can vaporize, the acrylic (Plexiglass) slide needs to be opened and finely ground (this is important) herb can be inserted into the trench. The MFLB will hold a maximum of about 100 milligrams. Now insert a charged AA battery into the hole at the side of the unit. Wait for about 4 seconds, and start to inhale. Afterwards, the battery needs to be removed in order to prevent your herb from becoming too hot.
While it takes a bit of practice at first, things went much smoother after a few hits and overheating did not occur. Inhaling slowly allows for higher temperatures, whereas inhaling too fast can cause the herb inside the Magic Flight Launch Box to swirl, resulting in thin vapour. With the right use, the hits are thick and flavorful, almost as good as with many electric vaporizers.
The only downside about the MFLB would be the battery life, since one battery is good for about 20 hits. Therefore, carrying an additional battery is a necessity.
Our verdict: The Magic Flight Launch Box is an excellent pocket sized vaporizer that suits the needs of both beginning and advanced vaporists. It’s portability and stealthiness are unparalleled, and the lifelong warranty only adds to that. Recommended!
Magic-Flight Launch Box review
By Borya on 19-05-2011I've been owning a da buddha vaporizer two years before i got MFLB. But one day i realized that if i bought a vaporizer not to ruin my lungs and to get higher its pure hypocrisy to smoke when i am outside on the go.So i did some research , read a few forum threads... and decided to get The MFLB... It came fast but it was held by customs.. so i went there and got it whitout any problem. 10 minute after i received it i was vaporizing.. and got stoned like a mofo.
What i do is push the battery into the hole and watch through the stem (u can see a red light through there) if vapor is forming. If there is vapor i do a small hit then shake and look again.. It starts coming faster and faster so i hit more ofter and shake after each hit(thats for the best taste). It need a bit of Jedi skill... but its not a problem for every user.
2 batteries u get a weaker than the higher mAH batteries u can buy. You can Use up to 3000 MAh batteries rechargable of course.. So my advice is to save some money not buying the orginal charger... and invest in better one with higher mAh batteries.. What I use is The original charger with 2 x 2700 mAH batteries(which i bought in the nearest shop) they charge for 5-6 hours and i can use one battery for bout 3 g of herb(thats bout 12-15 refillings of the herb chamber) so If you get 4 batteries charger with 3000 mah i can bet you can vaporize bout an 1oz of herb.
Magic-Flight Launch Box review
By Alistair on 23-09-2011I've had my Launch Box for a year now and feel that the vaporizer gives a different vaporizing experience than other vaporizers on the market. Many of the reviews will tell you what this vaporizer can do but I want to focus on my personal experience with this vaporizer.
When I first started using this vaporizer I felt because of it's size and no visible vapor when exhaling, it wasn't an effective vaporizer. I now have to come to realize that this understanding was way off. This vaporizer gets you high and uses a surprisingly small amount of weed to do it. In other words this vaporizer is extremely efficient. When you buy it don't worry about it not working because you don't exhale (to much) visible vapor. Many people I have shown this vaporizer to feel like it doesn't work. After only a little while they get extremely high to realize how effective this vaporizer really is.
From my experience using this vaporizer I stand behind understanding how to use this vaporizer effectively. This video helped a lot in making sure I got the most out of each packed trench, http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Lz68fCk97fM
Another good thing to know is that if you buy rechargeable batteries and they don't seem to work for the vaporizer make sure to twist them until you see the light inside the vaporizer turn on. I wasted many rechargeable batteries this way because i didn't realize that the contact point for some rechargeable batteries are different than others. Also make sure to take off the plastic covering of the rechargeable batteries so it can fit well and touch the contact point more easily.
I hope this review helps others understand the Magic Flight Launch Box and to choose a vaporizer that works best for them.

By krusht on 23-11-2011Toker since '65, quit in 80's, re-up in '75 - bad lungs (COPD) - tough to enjoy smoking&
choking - found my miracle 6 weeks ago - GUARANTEED BEST! - I have to admit, using the box properly was tricky at 1st, but their FAQ page is invaluable for noobs to the world of vape. I have used buddy's Volcano several times, but the Box? WAY gooder!
Because it allows a deeper inhale & I'm pounding deep tokes all day, I've see an improvement in my breathing - YES, it's true! A tipofthehat to Rick Simpson!
This vape may not be the 1st choice for all potheads, but it's #1 for portability, it's odorless, it's fast & the most fun re: tasting individual nuances.
If you're a veteran toker (or pot connoisseur), this is a whole new universe you're
missing if you don't get one or more of these babies.
I will appreciate any Email I get! dave@cogeco.ca

Magic-Flight Launch Box review
By Visitor on 15-01-2012Great little vape. I had purchased this vape as my first piece, and it far exceeded my expectations. I knew from watching videos, that it was small, but it still shocked me at how small when i actually received the product. it is incredibly efficient. i was a little dissapointed at first when i found that the trench could only hold about .1, but then i realized that i could use that .1 for a very very long time. im still on the same trench ive been on for 2 nights already. there is a little bit of a learning curve, but nothing to that of a vaporgenie. i can get good thick vapor after like 7-8 seconds with the MFLB. The price was a little steep, although you can find for around $100 instead of $120 on ebay or amazon. Even though the price was a bit much, it was well worth it. After using this piece, i would certainly pay twice as much for it. only thing that i do not like about it personally is the glass stem it comes with. im afraid im going to break it just throwing it in my pocket. it isn't necessary to use it, but i like the stem. i can see what is going on with it. but that is an easy fix. MFLB also sells wood stems on their website. a good investment imo. Definite win over the Arizer Solo if you ask me. its much smaller, like the size of a lighter, it doesnt need to be charged, ( yes you have to charge batteries, but they last a good amount of time. and you can take multiple with you, where as the arizer solo is the size of a can, and you have to charge the actual device itself.) and the price difference is huge. i mean $100, compared to $250? if you really wanted to spend $250, id suggest getting this, plus $60 for the power adapter for a house outlet, some extra batteries, and you still have 80 dollars left over...
for the whole learning curve issue. look, this is how i see it. different people like to do things their own way. when i use the MFLB. i like to take small, but very thick hits. where i get good vapor clouds each time, but i know some people who take very long hits and dont get very thick vapor at all. its all by opinion and how you use your device. the arizer solo doesnt allow that personal feel to it. its just. push the button and see what happens. where as this you can get a hold of it fairly easy and make it work how you want it to work.
