Silver Surfer

By btheman on 23-03-2011

Yesterday at my friends house I was able to try out the the silver surfer vaporizer. I'm used to a Volcano, so it was quite the transition going from a bag to a whip style vape. Nonetheless I really liked using the SSV. The device is easy to use and the resulting high was pleasantly clearheaded (we vaped some vanilla kush)

the surfer looks really cool and I read that they also provide custom graphics. Altho its one of the more expensive units its definitetely able to take it up against the good ol volcano.

Silver Surfer Vaporizer review

I've had my SSV for 3 years now. I turn it on in the morning, and turn it off at night. It is drawing current for at least 16-18 hours per day, sometimes 24 hours per day when I over-medicate.
I also own a Volcano Digital. Two different animals, period. I use the SSV on a daily basis, the V-Digital usually only when I have company. Reasons: The V-Digital uses much more material, takes a while to heat up, keeps turning itself off, and the vapor gets stale in the bag when using by yourself.
The SSV uses lots less material, remains on unless I turn it off, and the most important feature why I prefer the SSV over my Volcano Digital is TASTE!!!!
With the SSV the vapor remains fresh (I usually fill the wand's bowl up about 1/4 volume) for three BIG hits and you can taste the herb.
The Volcano is pretty much tasteless.
So if you don't enjoy the taste of what you are vaporizing, get the Volcano, but if like me, you enjoy tasting what you are vaping, and using less vaporizing material, the SSV is the winner.
